Getting to school
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option. There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. If you do need to travel by car, please park safely (for the safety of your own children and others). For children in Years 6, if they walk to school independently, please let the school know by email.
If your child walks to school in a morning, the school gates do not open until 8.40am and there is no supervision of children who arrive early and are waiting alone at the playground.
